After traveling the winding road of minor league baseball for nine years, frustrated by the business and politics of professional baseball, Ed pursued football as a second career in 1996.
Overcoming incredible odds Ed made the transformation from minor league baseball veteran to a Tight End in the National Football League. The highlight and reward of his amazing transition was an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII as a member of the 1998 NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons (The Dirty Birds).
